The power trim/tilt switch is located
on the tiller handle or on the control
lever. It is a rocker switch with UP
and DN (down) positions for
changing the angle of the outboard
motor.
You can use the power trim/tilt
switch anytime whether the boat is
underway, stopped, or the ignition
switch is in the OFF position. It is
necessary for the ignition switch to
be in the ON position for the trim
meter to indicate the outboard motor
angle.
Trim the outboard motor to obtain
the best performance and stability
(p. ).
Tilt the outboard motor for shallow
water operation, beaching, launching,
or mooring.
