Fuel Filler Cap Vent Knob

A priming bulb is built into the fuel
hose that connects the fuel tank to the
outboard motor.
Before starting the engine, hold the
priming bulb up in the direction of
the arrow; then squeeze the priming
bulb until it feels firm. This will
ensure that fuel is supplied to the
engine (p. ).
NMEA2000 based information on
engine speed, fuel consumption, and
various warnings can be read by
connecting to the outboard motor
with the interface cable (optional
equipment).

The fuel filler cap is provided with a
vent knob to seal the portable fuel
tank for carrying it to and from the
boat. Open the vent by turning the
vent knob counterclockwise all the
way before starting the engine.
