Engine Oil Change

Improper disposal of engine oil can
be harmf ul to the environment. If
you change your own oil, please
dispose of the used oil properly. Put
it in a sealed container, and take it to
a recycling center. Do not throw it in
the trash, pour it on the ground or
downadrain.
Allow the used oil to drain
completely. Use a new sealing
washer, and then reinstall the
engine oil drain bolt and washer.
Tighten the drain bolt securely.
Place a suitable container below
the oil drain guide to catch the
used oil, and then remove the oil
filler cap (p. ) and the drain bolt.
An engine oil evacuation device may
be used to remove the engine oil.
Drain the used oil while the engine is
warm. Warm oil drains quickly and
completely.
Unlatch and remove the engine
cover (p. ).
