SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
FUEL TANK HOSE ASSEMBLY
CONNECTOR
The fuel filter is located near the
engine cover latch on the boat side.
Remove the engine cover (p. )
and disconnect the fuel tank hose
assembly connector from the fuel
tank.
Water or sediment accumulation in
the filter can cause loss of power or
hard starting. To prevent engine
malfunction, inspect the filter and
replace when necessary.
A red ring float is located inside the
strainer cup. It floats on top of the
water and indicates how much water
has accumulated in the strainer cup.
