6. OPERATION
Shallow Water Operation
Excessive trim/tilt angle during
operation can cause the propeller to
raise out of the water and cause
propeller ventilation and engine
over revving. Excessive trim/tilt
angle can also damage the water
pump and overheat the engine.
When operating in shallow water, tilt
the motor up to prevent the propeller
and gear case from hitting the bottom
With the motor tilted up,
operate the
engine at low speed.
Monitor the cooling system indicator
for water discharge. Be sure that the
motor is not tilted so high that the
water intakes are out of the water.
