POWER TILT SWITCH

Do not attempt to use the power tilt
switch to tilt the outboard motor
down while the tilt lock lever is in the
lock position. Damage to the power
tilt system may
occur.

MANUAL
(To-release)
The outboard motor can also be tilted
manually after opening the manual
relief valve. This feature enables the
outboard motor to be tilted when
no
battery is connected.
For manual tilting, use
a screwdriver
to turn the valve counterclockwise
1
or 2 turns. Close the valve firmly
after positioning the engine.
Be sure the valve
is closed before
operating the outboard motor. If the
valve
is not closed, the outboard
motor will
tilt up when operated in
reverse.
