SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
FUEL FILTER

SPRING RETAINER

Pull the spring retainer toward you,
and raise the fuel filter.
3.
Check the fuel filter for water
accumulation or sediment. If no
water or sediment are found,
reinstall the fuel filter properly.

Remove the fuel filter.
Before removing the fael filter, to
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel
hose clamps
on
the fuel hoses at
the each side of the fuel filter.

Install the new fuel filter
so
the
arrow on the fuel filter points
toward the fuel pump.
Fuel flow will be reduced if the
fuel filter is installed backward.
6.
Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel
filter securely with the hose clips.
Remove the fuel hose clamps used
to close the fuel hoses.
