Return it gently to prevent damage to the starter.

Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Allow the muffler to cool before servicing the spark arrester. Clean the spark arrester as follows: 1. Remove the two 5 mm screws, and remove the spark arrester. SPARK ARRESTER 5 mm SCREWS 2. Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from the spark arrester screen.
