GENERATING SET USE
OIL SAFETY SYSTEM
The oil safety system is intended to avoid any risk of
damage to the engine caused by a lack of oil in the lower
housing. As soon as the oil level has reached asafety limit,
the oil safety system releases the decompression lever [1]
which, on raising, automatically stops the engine. The
stopping and the engine speed levers remain in ON
position. In this case, the engine will not restart. Top up the
oil as indicated on page 9.
To restart the engine, press the decompression lever [1] to
relock it, then follow the procedure described in paragraph
“STARTING THE ENGINE”.
NOTE
: the oil safety system must not dispense the
operator from maintaining and checking the oil level every
time before use.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. Disconnect all appliances connected to the generating
set receptacles.
2. Put the stopping lever [2] on position “0" (fully lowered to
the limit stop).
3. Put the engine speed lever [3] on position SLOW (fully
lowered to the limit stop).
CAUTION:
Never stop the engine by operating the decompression lever.
