Transmitter Battery Replacement
Warning on discharged battery
An indicator will appear on the display when the battery is close to the end of its service life. Replace
the batteries as soon as possible. (Normally, battery service life is not shown on the display.)
Battery service life
The batteries are good for approximately 1 year after replacement. Battery service life will vary
depending on usage.
Note that the batteries already installed in the transmitter when you purchased the remote engine
starter system can come to the end of the service life before 1 year. This is due to the batteries being
installed in the transmitter at the factory and does not indicate a problem with your remote.
Battery precautions
To prevent poor contact of the batteries, wipe them with a clean dry cloth before installation.
Note the positive (+) and negative (-) polarities of the batteries and install the batteries in the proper direction. Failure to correctly install
the batteries can cause leaking battery fluid, battery failure and/or fire accident.
Do not hold a battery with a metallic tool such as tweezers. This can cause the battery to short circuit.
An improperly disposed battery can hurt the environment. Always confirm local regulations for battery disposal.
