OPERATION
PLOWADJUSTMENTS
Width
of
Cut
Following proper
assembly
and initial
adjustments, the plow cut width
will
be
1
1"
-12"
when the right
reat
wheel
is
running
against
the furrow
wall.
To
change the width, loosen the
U
-
Bolts
and
move the
beam
along the
mast
an
inch at
a
time to find the
best
width: Move to the
right
to
decrease, and to the left to
increase
the width.
NOTE.
Under extreme
or
heavy plowing
conditions, you may prefer to reduce the
cut
width, rather than the plow depth, to avoid
overloading the tractor.

Depth
The
plow point pitch
(or
suck1
is
controlled
by
the hitch upper
link.
Shortening the
link
will
make the plow
go
deepec lengthening the
DEPTH GAUGE WHEEL
link
will
cause
the plow to
run
shallow. With
the
link
pre
-
adjusted
as
described earlier, the
plowing depth should
be
5"
-
6//
when the
tractor
wheels
are
running in
a
previously
plowed
hw.
NOTE:
Always
readjust the gauge wheel and
check the plow lever
(see
next
page) after
changing the plowing depth.
