Legendary Honda Engines

Most Honda Pumps feature our Honda GX commercial-grade engines. These four-stroke

engines have long been recognized as the industry leader in providing reliable, quiet and

fuel-efficient power.

Features include overhead valves for smooth, consistent power, and a cast iron cylinder sleeve

for “commercial-grade” quality and durability. Many offer a dual element air cleaner that provides

a clean supply of air for increased engine life. Most Honda Pumps are also equipped with Oil

Alert

that protects the engine by shutting it down if oil reaches an unacceptable operating level.

Other features on the GX engine include:

• Easy starting thanks to Honda’s auto-decompression technology.

• Electronic ignition for a “hotter” spark and more reliable ignition.

• Oversized muffler for quieter operation.

• Steel gas tank for added protection, including an internal fuel filter.
