2.1 FCC Compliance Statements
¾ This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules and Regulations. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
¾ This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radiofrequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with these instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in
which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
¾ Intentional or unintentional changes or modifications must not be made to the OWA unless under the express
consent of the party responsible for compliance. Any such modifications could void the user’s authority to
operate the equipment and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
3 INDUSTRY CANADA (IC)
3.1 IC Compliance Statements
¾ To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the
equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) is not more than that permitted for successful communication.
¾ Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this
device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
¾ This Class A digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.
¾ French: Cet appareil numérique de la classe A est conforme à la norme NMB-003 du Canada.
4 RF Safety Statement
To comply with FCC’s and Industry Canada’s RF exposure requirements, the following antenna installation and device
operating configurations must be satisfied.
¾ Remote
Point-to-Multi-Point antenna(s) for this unit must be fixed and mounted on outdoor permanent
structures with a separation distance between the antenna(s) of greater than 20 cm and a separation distance of at
least 20 cm from all persons.
¾ Furthermore, the OWA unit must not be co-located with any other antenna or transmitter device and have a
separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons.
