Hardware Application Buttons
These four buttons are programmed to launch software applications when the Today Screen (see page
2-2) is on the screen.
To customize these settings, tap Start > Settings > Personal tab > Buttons .
Buttons Column Matching Hardware Button
Buttons 1–4 Buttons P1—P4 on the 29-key keyboard.
Left Left side button; see Side Button on page 3-12.
Right Right side button; see Side Button on page 3-12.
Customizing a Hardware Button
1. Select the button you want to modify.
2. Select a program from the Assign a program list.
3. Tap OK to save all changes and the change is applied immediately.
4. To verify the change, navigate to the Today screen, press the hardware button and verify that the
selected application launches.
