Taking Pictures

You can switch the Drive mode to Remote Control mode and take pictures
using the remote control unit for Pentax cameras (optional).
The remote control receiver is on the front of the camera. Stabilize the camera
using a tripod, etc. and use the remote control unit pointing it towards the front
(lens side) of the camera.
1 Press the four-way controller (2)
in Capture mode to displayh or i
on the LCD monitor.
The self-timer lamp blinks slowly and the
camera is ready to take the picture.
2 Press the zoom button to adjust the
zoom (for remote control unit E).
The zoom position changes each time the zoom button is pressed in
the following sequence: tele middle wide

Press the shutter release button on the remote control unit

h The picture is taken immediately.
i The self-timer lamp blinks rapidly and the picture is taken after
approximately three seconds.
Using the Remote Control Unit (optional)
• Focusing position may shift if you move the camera while the self-timer
lamp is blinking.
• When the Focus mode is set to Super Macro mode, the zoom
magnification does not change.
• The buttons on the camera can be used in the normal way.
• Ensure that the remote control unit is no more than four meters away
from the front of the camera.
