All Honeywell Waterproof Fire Chests are designed and built using the highest manufacturing standards to ensure maximum user satisfaction under a variety of conditions. Your Honeywell Waterproof Fire Chests will provide “Peace of Mind” for many years to come.
PROPER USE Honeywell Waterproof Fire Chests are designed to protect paper documents and files from heat and moisture damage due to exposure to fire and water. IMPORTANT: Before using your new chest it should be opened and aired out for at least 30 minutes to allow the waterproof seal to decompress and perform as intended. WARNING: This chest is not intended for the storage of medications, firearms, ammunition, or combustible items of any kind.
UNLOCKING AND OPENING THE CHEST 1. Insert key into lock cylinder (Figure 1.1). 2. Turn the key counterclockwise to the left ¼ turn (Figure 1.2). 3. With key lock in the unlocked position, turn the knob to the right to the unlatched position (Figure 1.3). 4. While holding the knob in the unlatched position, lift the lid to open (Figure 1.4).
