cards. Omni-directional scanning capability—along with an
extended depth of field and advanced decoding software—
allows cashiers to scan virtually all barcodes on first pass, with
minimal concern for orientation or barcode print quality.
For retailers that anticipate the need to read 2D codes in the
future, but do not need this capability today, the 7980g can
also be purchased as an omnidirectional 1D scanner with the
capability to be affordably upgraded to a full 2D area-imager

Installing 7980g into an existing checkout systems is easy.
Multiple on-board interfaces make the 7980g compatible with

multi-function USB auxiliary port, providing a single point of

drawing power directly through USB, eliminating the need for an
