USSD
Short for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data, (USSD) is a technology unique to GSM that enables session-based text-
messaging as opposed to SMS, which is store-and-send text-messaging. Turnaround response times for interactive applications
are generally shorter for USSD than SMS. USSD is not currently available on all carrier networks.
USSD communicates with a USSD application portal, a news portal or a chat session with a co-worker.
Tap Tools > USSD.
Send Sends the text entered in the Message section and begins the USSD session.
End Ends the USSD session.
Message Enter text to a USSD portal.
Network message Displays the USSD message received from the network, allowing a session-based interaction.
