STARTED

While the TrueSTEAM and its available ltration options help to address the issue of water quality and hardness,

homes with extreme hard water problems should consider using a whole house water softener as the primary

ltration device. Use of a whole house water softener will help protect the humidier from excessive maintenance

requirements as well as undue wear and tear in homes with hard water.

In applications with a water softener, it is critical for the TrueSTEAM to draw its water supply from the cold water

line after the water softener.

Note: Be sure to check all local plumbing codes before beginning installation.

PRACTICE

Use TrueSTEAM with water that is less than 1 grain per

gallon hardness. A properly functioning water softener will

accomplish this.
