CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
First, rmly grip the tank bottom. Then push down the
safety release button.
Pull the latch forward to release the tank.
Note: The latch remains attached to the Steam Humidier and is not removed
with the tank.
Remove the tank.
Remove the sediment screen from the bottom of
the tank.
Use tap water to ush loose minerals from the tank
and sediment screen:
For a more thorough cleaning, soak tank in warm
water. Then rinse clean. Tank is dishwasher safe.
Honeywell recommends CLR
®
, LimeAway
®
, or
white vinegar for cleaning. Do not use hydrocarbon-
or oil-based cleaners.
Unplug the Steam Humidier, and carefully rub
minerals off the heating element and reservoir walls.
Scouring pads suitable for non-stick pots or
pans may be used to clean the Steam Humidier
reservoir walls and components within the tank.
For more thorough element cleaning, Honeywell
recommends soaking with CLR
®
, LimeAway
®
, or
white vinegar. Do not use hydrocarbon- or oil-based
cleaners.
