CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
First, rmly grip the tank bottom. Then push down the
safety release button.
Pull the latch forward to release the tank.
Note: The latch remains attached to the Steam Humidier and is not removed
with the tank.
Remove the tank.
Remove the sediment screen from the bottom of
the tank.
Use tap water to ush loose minerals from the tank
and sediment screen:
• For a more thorough cleaning, soak tank in warm
water. Then rinse clean. Tank is dishwasher safe.
• Honeywell recommends CLR
®
, LimeAway
®
, or
white vinegar for cleaning. Do not use hydrocarbon-
or oil-based cleaners.
Unplug the Steam Humidier, and carefully rub
minerals off the heating element and reservoir walls.
• Scouring pads suitable for non-stick pots or
pans may be used to clean the Steam Humidier
reservoir walls and components within the tank.
• For more thorough element cleaning, Honeywell
recommends soaking with CLR
®
, LimeAway
®
, or
white vinegar. Do not use hydrocarbon- or oil-based
cleaners.
