Pneumatic Damper Operator
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE INSTALLATION
The MP909D Pneumatic Damper Operator can be mounted in
any position, externally or internally.
Pneumatic air connection is sized for 5/32-inch (4 mm) or
1/4-inch (6 mm) O.D. plastic tubing.
Installation requires no special tools.
INSTALLATION
Ball Joint Type Linkage
1.
Refer to Fig. 1 for dimensions.
2.
Select mounting location.
3.
Using the mounting bracket as a template, mark two
mounting holes.
4.
Drill or punch two mounting holes and secure mounting
bracket with screws provided.
5.
Install operator on mounting bracket with two No. 8 x 1/2
self-tapping screws (see Fig. 2).
6.
Screw locknut and motor shaft balljoint onto operator
shaft (see Fig. 3).
7.
Tighten locknut against motor shaft balljoint.
8.
Install crankarm balljoint on crankarm.
9.
Secure crankarm to damper drive axle.
10.
Cut 5/16-inch pushrod to length.
11.
Slide pushrod onto crankarm balljoint and motor shaft
balljoint.
12.
Tighten balljoint setscrews.
13.
Push plastic tubing from controller branch line onto
operator inlet port.
NOTE: NOTE:After tubing is connected, do not
attempt to remove it. If it must be
disconnected, cut the tubing and reconnect
with a barb coupling.
