RTH2300/RTH221 This thermostat is ready to go! Your new thermostat is pre-programmed and ready to go. All you have to do is set the time and day. Then check the settings below and change if needed: 1. Set time and day (required for proper operation)...............................See page 6 2. Operating Manual Select the fan setting Set the FAN switch to Auto or On. In “Auto” mode (the most commonly used setting), the fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is on. RTH2300/RTH221 Save money by setting program schedules It’s easy to program your system for maximum energy savings. You can program four time periods each day, with different settings for weekdays and weekends. WAKE 6:00 am 70 ° LEAVE 8:00 am 62 ° RETURN 6:00 pm 70 ° SLEEP 10:00 pm 62 ° Set to the time you awaken and the temperature you want during the morning, until you leave for the day.
Operating Manual About your Energy saving newsettings thermostat for maximum cost savings This thermostat is pre-set to use energy saving program settings. We recommend these settings, since they can reduce your heating/cooling expenses. (See next page to adjust times and temperatures of each time period.
RTH2300/RTH221 To adjust program schedules (RTH2300) Press SET 3 times, then adjust time. 1. Press SET until Set Schedule is displayed. 2. Set Hold 6:30 Temporary am Run 70 Set M33796 Press to cancel temporary setting and resume program schedule. Set Hold Run 6:30 am 75 Set M33797 Press s or t to immediately adjust the temperature. This will temporarily override the temperature setting for the current time period. “Temporary” will appear on the display and the current program period will flash.

This will override the temperature settings for all time periods.
RTH2300/RTH221 About your Built-in compressor new thermostat protection 6:30 We Wake am This feature helps prevent damage to the compressor in your air conditioning or heat pump system. 75 Damage can occur if the compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown. This feature forces the compressor to wait 5 minutes before restarting. Cool On M32711 Message flashes until safe restart time has elapsed.
Operating Manual Change filter (RTH2300 only) Change Filter – Press & Hold Run to Reset Set Hold Run 6:30 am 75 Set M33632 If the filter reminder is turned on during installation, the words Change Filter will flash on the screen when the filter needs to be replaced. After you replace the air filter, press and hold the RUN button for 3 seconds to reset the alert.
RTH2300/RTH221 Battery replacement Install two fresh AAA batteries when Lo Batt flashes on the screen. Lo Batt appears for 60 days before the batteries are depleted. Pull at bottom to remove thermostat from wallplate. W/ Aux Turn thermostat over, insert fresh AAA alkaline batteries, then reinstall thermostat. Not Used Replace batteries once a year, or when you will be away for more than a month.

RTH2300/RTH221 In case of difficulty If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the following suggestions. Most problems can be corrected quickly and easily. Display is blank • Make sure furnace door is closed securely. • Make sure fresh AAA alkaline batteries are correctly installed (see page 17). Heating or cooling system does not respond • Set system switch to Heat (see page 7). Make sure the temperature is set higher than the Inside temperature.
Operating Manual In case of difficulty Temperature settings do not change Make sure heating and cooling temperatures are set to acceptable ranges: • Heat: 40° to 90°F (4.5° to 32°C). • Cool: 50° to 99°F (10° to 37°C). “Cool On” or “Heat On” is flashing • Compressor protection feature is engaged. Wait 5 minutes for the system to restart safely, without damage to the compressor (see page 15).
RTH2300/RTH221 About your 1-year limited new warranty thermostat Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery, to be free from defects in the workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer. If at any time during the warranty period the product is determined to be defective or malfunctions, Honeywell shall repair or replace it (at Honeywell’s option).

RTH2300/RTH221 À propos du Protection intégrée thermostat du compresseur 6:30 We Wake am Cette fonction sert à éviter d’endommager le compresseur qui fait partie du système de refroidissement ou de la thermopompe. 75 Cool On M32711 Le message clignote jusqu’à ce que le délai d’attente soit écoulé. Le compresseur pourrait en effet être endommagé s’il redémarre trop rapidement après avoir été mis à l’arrêt. Cette fonction oblige le compresseur à attendre 5 minutes avant de redémarrer.

Après avoir remplacé le filtre, appuyer et maintenir le bouton RUN (marche) pendant 3 secondes pour remettre l’alerte.

Lo Batt (Piles faibles) s’affiche pendant 60 jours avant que les piles ne soient complètement déchargées. Tirer le thermostat par le bas pour le détacher de la plaque murale. W/ Aux Retourner le thermostat et installer des piles alcalines AAA neuves, puis remettre le thermostat en place.
