About your new thermostat Your new Honeywell thermostat has been designed to give you many years of reliable service and easy-to-use, push-button climate control.
This thermostat is ready to go! Your new thermostat is pre-programmed and ready to go. All you have to do is set the time and day. Then check the settings below and change if needed: 1. Select the system setting The SYSTEM switch can be set to control your heating or cooling system, depending on the season. On Fan Auto Set • Cool: Cooling system control. Select the fan setting Set the FAN switch to Auto or On. On Fan Auto Set Hold Run Cool Off Heat E.M. Heat M34678 Set FAN switch to choose whether the fan runs continuously or only as needed. In “Auto” mode (the most commonly used setting), the fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is on. If set to “On,” the fan runs continuously.
Save money by setting program schedules It’s easy to program your system for maximum energy savings. You can program four time periods each day, with different settings for weekdays and weekends. WAKE 6:00 am 70 ° LEAVE 8:00 am 62 ° RETURN 6:00 pm 70 ° SLEEP 10:00 pm 62 ° Set to the time you awaken and the temperature you want during the morning, until you leave for the day. Set to the time you leave home and the temperature you want while you are away (usually an energy-saving level).
Energy saving settings for maximum cost savings This thermostat is pre-set to use energy saving program settings. We recommend these settings, since they can reduce your heating/cooling expenses. (See next page to adjust times and temperatures of each time period.
To adjust program schedules Press SET 3 times, then adjust time. am Set Hold Run 1. Press SET until Set Schedule is displayed. 6:30 2. Press s or t to set your weekday Wake time (Mo-Fr), then press SET. 75 4. Set time and temperature for the next time period (Leave). Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each weekday time period. MO TU WE TH FR Set 3. Press s or t to set the temperature for this time period, then press SET. 5. Press SET to set weekend time periods (Sa & Su), then press RUN to save & exit.
Program schedule override (temporary) Press to temporarily adjust temperature. am Set Hold Run Set 6:30 Temporary 70 Press s or t to immediately adjust the temperature. This will temporarily override the temperature setting for the current time period. “Temporary” will appear on the display and the current program period will flash. The new temperature will be maintained only until the next programmed time period begins (see page 9).
Program schedule override (permanent) Press to permanently adjust temperature. 6:30 am Set Hold Run Set 70 Hold M34816 Press to cancel “Hold” setting and resume program schedule. Press HOLD to permanently adjust the temperature. This will override the temperature settings for all time periods. The “Hold” feature turns off the program schedule and allows you to adjust the thermostat manually, as needed.
Built-in compressor protection am 6:00 WE 70 This feature helps prevent damage to the compressor in your air conditioning or heat pump system. Damage can occur if the compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown. This feature forces the compressor to wait 5 minutes before restarting. During the wait time, the display will flash the message Cool On (or Heat On if you have a heat pump model). When the safe wait time has elapsed, the message stops flashing and the compressor turns on.
Early Start am 6:00 WE 70 Early Start: This feature allows the heating or cooling to turn on before the program start time, so the temperature is reached at the time you set. For example: Set the Wake time to 6 am, and the temperature to 70°. The heat will come on before 6 am, so the temperature is 70° by the time you wake at 6. The next time period is displayed when the system is activated before a scheduled time period.
Battery replacement Install two fresh AAA batteries when Lo Batt flashes on the screen. Lo Batt appears for 60 days before the batteries are depleted. Pull at bottom to remove thermostat from wallplate. Turn thermostat over, insert fresh AAA alkaline batteries, then reinstall thermostat. On Fan Set Set Hold Run Auto 77 Cool On Cool Off Heat Replace batteries once a year, or when you will be away for more than a month. E.M.

In case of difficulty If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the following suggestions. Most problems can be corrected quickly and easily. Display is blank • • • • Heating or cooling system does not respond • Set system switch to Heat (see page 7). Make sure the temperature is set higher than the Inside temperature. Check circuit breaker and reset if necessary. Make sure power switch at heating & cooling system is on. Make sure furnace door is closed securely.
In case of difficulty Temperature settings do not change Make sure heating and cooling temperatures are set to acceptable ranges: • Heat: 40° to 90°F (4.5° to 32°C). • Cool: 50° to 99°F (10° to 37°C). “Cool On” or “Heat On” is flashing • Compressor protection feature is engaged. Wait 5 minutes for the system to restart safely, without damage to the compressor (see page 14).
2-year limited warranty Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery, to be free from defects in the workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase by the consumer. If at any time during the warranty period the product is determined to be defective or malfunctions, Honeywell shall repair or replace it (at Honeywell’s option).

Sélectionner le réglage du ventilateur Régler le sélecteur du ventilateur FAN à Auto ou à On. On Fan Auto Set Hold Run Cool Off Heat E.M. Heat M34678 Régler le sélecteur du ventilateur FAN pour que le ventilateur fonctionne en continue ou seulement au besoin. En mode de fonctionnement automatique (AUTO), qui est le réglage le plus fréquent, le ventilateur fonctionne seulement quand le système de chauffage ou de refroidissement est en marche.

Dérogation (temporaire) au programme Appuyer ici pour ajuster temporairement la température. am Set Hold Run Set 6:30 Temporary 70 Le terme « Temporary » (Provisoire) s’affiche et la période courante clignote. La nouvelle température de consigne restera en vigueur jusqu’au début de la prochaine période seulement (voir page 9). Wake M34814 Appuyez pour annuler le réglage temporaire et reprendre l’horaire programmé. Appuyer sur s ou t pour ajuster immédiatement la température.
Dérogation (permanente) au programme Appuyer ici pour modifier la température en permanence. 6:30 am Set Hold Run Set 70 Appuyer sur HOLD pour ajuster la température en permanence. Cette fonction permet de déroger à la température de consigne pour toutes les périodes. Hold M34816 Appuyez pour annuler le réglage permanent et reprendre l’horaire programmé.
Protection intégrée du compresseur am 6:00 WE 70 Heat On Wake M34817 Le message clignote jusqu’à ce que le délai d’attente soit écoulé. Cette fonction sert à éviter d’endommager le compresseur qui fait partie du système de refroidissement ou de la thermopompe. Le compresseur pourrait en effet être endommagé s’il redémarre trop rapidement après avoir été mis à l’arrêt. Cette fonction oblige le compresseur à attendre 5 minutes avant de redémarrer.
Démarrage précoce am 6:00 WE 70 Heat On Démarrage précoce : Cette fonction permet d’activer le chauffage ou le refroidissement avant l’heure d’activation pour que la température souhaitée soit atteinte à l’heure indiquée. Par exemple : Régler l’heure de réveil à 6 heures et la température à 70 °. Le chauffage s’enclenche avant 6 heures, de sorte que la température a atteint 70 °C lorsque vous vous réveillez à 6 heures.
Remplacement des piles Tirer le thermostat par le bas pour le détacher de la plaque murale. Retourner le thermostat et installer des piles alcalines AAA neuves, puis remettre le thermostat en place. On Fan Set Set Hold Run Mettre deux piles AAA neuves lorsque Lo Batt (Piles faibles) clignote à l’écran.
