Power Base

One (1) power base
Two (2) screws
Four (4) solderless connectors for copper wires
NOTE: Special CO/ALR solderless connectors must be used when
connecting with aluminum conductors.
TURN OFF POWER TO THE HEATING SYSTEM AT THE MAIN
POWER PANEL TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
The installation must be carried out by an electrician.
Ͽ
Install the thermostat onto an electrical box.
Ͽ
For a new installation, choose a location about 5 ft. above the
floor and on an inside wall.
Ͽ
The thermostat must be installed on the wall opposite to the
heating system.
Ͽ
Avoid locations where there are air drafts (top of staircase, air
outlet), dead air spots (behind a door), direct sunlight or con-
cealed chimneys or stove pipes.
n Loosen the captive screw underneath the thermostat.
o Remove the front module from the power base by pulling them
apart at the bottom.
p Connect the power supply to the power base using solderless
connectors.
q Push the wires into the electrical box.
r Secure the power base to the electrical box using the provided
screws.
s Configure the any switches located on the back of the control
module (if necessary).
t Install the control module back onto the base.
u Once the thermostat is configured and installed, apply power to
the heating system.
Storage: -4°F to 120°F (-20°C to 50°C)
