Demand Control
Ventilation Economizer – W7220
FEATURES
24 VAC; operates between -40° to 150° F.
Surpasses UL 60730 and UL 94-5 plenum flammability
tests.
California Title 24 compliant.
Integrates with the space temperature control system
recommended by the HVAC unit (conventional or heat
pump) manufacturer.
Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) CO2 sensor varies
the ventilation damper’s minimum ventilation position
between two adjustable values (one for low or highly
variable occupancy and one for full occupancy) to
reduce outside air during low occupancy periods.
Energizes one or two supplemental exhaust fans
during operation, complete with exhaust cycle
setpoint(s).
Displays status for:
•Economizing
Occupancy
Calls for cooling from room controller
Mixed air temperature
Outdoor air temperature
Return air temperature
CO2 level in space
DCV on/off and exhaust fan on/off Actuator
status
Includes discharge or mixed air sensor to control
mixing dampers.
Fault detection and diagnostic capabilities with alarms
for failed sensors and communicating actuator.
Guide Specifications:
1. W722X Economizer control module shall be 24 Vac
and UL 60730, UL94-5 plenum flammability, CE and
FCC compliant. Suitable for operation between -40
to 150 F and complies with \California Title 24.
2. Module shall be compatible with and integrated into
the space temperature control system as recom-
mended by the HVAC unit (conventional or heat
pump) manufacturer.
3. Module shall be provided with a Demand Control
Ventilation (DCV) CO2 sensor for room mounting
which varies the ventilation dampers’ minimum ven-
tilation position between two adjustable values (one
for low or highly variable occupancy and one for full
occupancy) to reduce outside air cfm during low
occupancy periods.
4. The module shall have an output to energize one or
two supplemental exhaust fans during DCV opera-
tion complete with exhaust cycle setpoint(s).
5. The module shall have status for economizing,
occupancy, calls for cooling from room controller,
mixed air temperature, outdoor air temperature,
return air temperature, CO2 level in space, DCV
on/off and exhaust fan on/off.
6. Module shall include discharge or mixed air sensor
to control mixing dampers during periods when out-
side air is sensed as suitable for free cooling.
7. Module shall be designed for mounting with appro-
priate Honeywell damper actuator.
8. Module will have fault detection and diagnostic
capabilities with alarms for failed sensors.
