How to assemble your Power Scrub Elite™: 1 Insert the handle into the base. 2 Insert both screws and tighten with a screwdriver. 3 Angle the Solution/Clean Water tank above the Dirty Water Recovery Tank and click it into place. 4 Wrap the power cord around the cord hooks for convenient storage.

Features: Cleaning Modes: 1. Turn the cleaning mode selection dial on the base of the unit to choose your preferred cleaning mode. Align arrow to preferred mode. a. Tools: A. Stair Tool*: 6 inches wide with 2 built-in rows of bristles for cleaning carpeted stairs. A. B. B. Upholstery Tool*: 1 row of bristles for effectively cleaning upholstery. C. Before you begin Cleaning: Vacuum carpet and upholstery thoroughly with a Hoover vacuum before use. Don’t use the carpet cleaner as a traditonal vacuum cleaner. Use your Hoover carpet cleaner only if upholstery fabric is marked with a “W” (for “wet” clean) or “S/W” (for “solvent/dry” or “wet” clean). Don’t clean fabric marked “S” (“solvent/ dry” clean only). Test for colorfastness in a small, hidden area. Gently rub surface with a dampened white cloth.
Getting started with your Power Scrub Elite™: To fill the Clean Water/Solution Tank: 1 9 Press down on top latch of clean water tank and pull to remove. 2 Twist off the clean water cap on the top of the clean water tank. Add warm water to fill line and replace cap. – DO NOT BOIL OR MICROWAVE WATER (Do not fill with water above 140˚ F (60˚ C) 3 Twist off the solution cap on the top of the clean water tank and pour cleaning solution into tank. Replace cap.
Getting started with your Power Scrub Elite™: Cord: Unwrap the power cord and plug unit in an electrical outlet. How to empty: 1 Turn the cleaner off and unplug from electrical outlet. 2 Release Dirty Water Tank Latch. 3 Grab the Dirty Water Tank handle and remove from carpet cleaner base.
Getting started with your Power Scrub Elite™: 4 11 Place on a flat surface and unlatch Dirty Water Tank lid located below the Quick Spout Pour cap. 5 Empty tank, rinse and allow to air dry.
! IMPORTANT ! IMPORTANT ! Be sure to replace the Quick Spout Pour Cap to ensure proper suction. ! Regarding Dirty Water Tank Lid: For full suction it is important that the Dirty Water Tank Lid is securely in place. If misplaced, poor to no suction will result (see Figs. E,F, G). ! IMPORTANT ! For full suction, it is important that the Dirty Water Tank is properly secured before cleaning. Continue using dry strokes until little water is visible passing through the nozzle.
Using your Power Scrub Elite™: 1 Choose cleaning mode by turning the dial on the base to “Quick Clean” or “Deep Clean” mode. NOTE: See cleaning mode descriptions on page 6 13 2 Ensure Wash/Rinse dial on the Clean Water Tank is turned to “Wash”. 3 Plug into electrical outlet. Step on the Power Pedal to turn ON. 4 Step on the Handle Release Pedal to recline the unit for cleaning position.
Using your Power Scrub Elite™: 5 Squeeze trigger to apply water and cleaning solution. Slowly push forward then backwards while squeezing the trigger. 6 Release the trigger and slowly push forward. Then slowly pull back toward you without squeezing the trigger. Continue pushing forward and back without squeezing the trigger until little water is visible passing through the nozzle. 7 For Best Results, Hoover recommends rinsing the carpet with clean water only.
Tools and Accessories: How to Attach Hose: Read “Before You Begin Cleaning” instructions. Be sure to check Hoover® Cleaning Guide on page 23 and the cleaning code on your upholstery. Use your cleaner only on upholstery marked “W” or “W/S”. ! CAUTION ! To reduce risk of injury from moving parts – Unplug before servicing. 1 15 Attach hose to the unit by opening the Hose Connection Port on the nozzle. Insert hose end, aligning the indicator with the unlock arrows. 2 Rotate clockwise to lock position.
Tools and Accessories: How to Attach Hose: 4 If additional cleaning is necessary, wait until the upholstery is completely dry before using the tool again. Empty Dirty Water Tank when the motor sound becomes higher pitched and there is a loss in suction (see "Automatic Shutoff"). When finished cleaning, follow "After Cleaning" and "After Using Tool" instructions on page 19. Plug the Hose Solution Tube connector firmly into the Hose Solution Port.
Tools and Accessories: How to Remove Hose: 1 17 Disconnect Hose Solution Tube from Hose Solution Port by pulling up firmly. Do not pull on tube, this may cause damage. Port door will automatically close. 2 Rotate hose end counterclockwise from the locked position to the unlocked position and remove by pulling out. 3 Snap the Hose Port Door on the Nozzle back into place. Make sure to snap it firmly back into place to ensure proper suction.
Tool and Accessories: How to Attach Tools: NOTE: Do not place unit at top of stairway to avoid falling down stairs. Place unit at bottom of stairs and work up. 1 To ensure maximum performance and to protect your carpet, be sure to place the handle in the upright position while using the hose. Placing the handle in the upright position shuts off the SpinScrub® brushes. 2 Connect tool to hose by sliding it onto the connector until it securely locks into place.
Tools and Accessories: After Using Tools: ! CAUTION ! Always turn off appliance before connecting or disconnecting hose. 1 Drain hose by removing the solution tank and turning the cleaner ON. Aim hose in a downward angle and press trigger to remove excess water. 19 2 Turn OFF cleaner. Disconnect the hose and solution tube from cleaner. 3 Drain solution tube by placing the round end in the sink and placing the tool in sink. Press the trigger to release air and fluid.
Tools and Accessories: Cleaning Carpeted Stairs: 1. Read “Before You Begin Cleaning” instructions on page 8. 2. Attach hose and solution tube as instructed (page 15). 3. Place handle in upright position. SpinScrub® brushes will not rotate while handle is in upright position. 4. Fill Clean Water Tank according to instructions. ! CAUTION ! Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Maintenance: NOZZLE: HOW TO CLEAN AND STORE 1. To prevent possible leaking, remove and empty Clean Water Tank and Dirty Water Tank. 2. With handle in upright position, tilt carpet cleaner back so that handle rests on the floor. 3. Rotate Nozzle latch to unlock position (Fig. E). 4. Pull up on Nozzle slightly to unsnap Nozzle from foot of carpet cleaner. 5. Pull Nozzle forward to remove from carpet cleaner. Be sure the Nozzle does not get caught on Recovery Tank Latch (Fig. F). 6. Rinse debris from Nozzle.
Maintenance: BRUSHES: HOW TO CHANGE AND CLEAN How to Remove 1. To prevent possible leaking, remove Clean Water Tank and Dirty Water Tank. B A 2. With handle in upright position, tilt cleaner back until handle rests on the floor. 3. Grab brush assembly and pull firmly (Fig. H). 4. The brushes can be cleaned under running water. Premiers pas avec votre Power Scrub Elite : MC Pour remplir le réservoir d’eau avec la solution: 1 Appuyez sur le loquet supérieur du réservoir d’eau propre et tirez dessus pour le retirer. Cordon: Déroulez le cordon d’alimentation et branchez l’appareil dans une prise de courant. 2 3 Dévissez le bouchon d’eau propre situé sur le réservoir d’eau propre. Remplissez-le d’eau chaude jusqu’à la ligne de remplissage et revissez le bouchon.
! IMPORTANT ! IMPORTANT ! IMPORTANT ! Prenez soin de bien remettre le bouchon verseur rapide pour conserver une bonne succion. ! Au sujet du loquet du réservoir d’eau sale : Pour que l’appareil offre une succion totale, il est important que le couvercle du réservoir d’eau sale soit bien assujetti en place. S’il est mal positionné, la succion sera faible ou inexistante (voir les figures E, F, G).
Utilisation de votre Power Scrub Elite : MC 1 2 5 6 Choisissez votre mode de nettoyage en tournant la molette sur la base sur le mode « Quick Clean » (nettoyage rapide) ou « Deep Clean » (nettoyage en profondeur). Serrez la détente pour appliquer de l’eau et de la solution nettoyante. Poussez doucement vers l'avant, puis vers l’arrière tout en serrant la détente. La molette Wash/Rinse (nettoyage/rinçage) du réservoir d’eau propre doit être réglée sur « Wash » (nettoyage).
Outils et accessoires: Comment fixer le tuyau: 1 Fixez le tuyau sur l’appareil en ouvrant la prise de connexion du tuyau sur la buse. Insérez le bout du tuyau en prenant soin d’aligner l’indicateur avec les flèches de déverrouillage. 2 Tournez en sens horaire jusqu’à la position verrouillée. Lisez les instructions « Avant de commencer le nettoyage ». Prenez soin de bien consulter le Guide de nettoyage HooverMD à la page 4, ainsi que le code de nettoyage de votre tissu de revêtement.
Outil et accessoires: Comment retirer le tuyau: 1 Débranchez le tube de solution du tuyau et la prise de solution du tuyau en tirant dessus fermement. Ne tirez pas sur le tube, car cela pourrait l'endommager. Cómo preparar su Power Scrub Elite™ : Para llenar el depósito de agua limpia/solución: 1 2 Presione la traba superior del depósito de agua limpia, y tire para extraer el depósito. Desenrosque el tapón de la parte superior del depósito de agua limpia. Añada agua tibia a la línea de llenado y vuelva a colocar el tapón.
! IMPORTANTE ! IMPORTANTE ! Asegúrese de volver a colocar el tapón del Pico de Vertido Rápido, para asegurar una absorción apropiada. ! Con respecto a la tapa del depósito de agua sucia: Por que la aspiración sea buena, es importante que la tapa del depósito de agua sucia esté bien ajustada. Si estuviese mal colocada, la aspiración será mala o no se activará (ver Fig. E, F y G).
Uso de su Power Scrub Elite™ : 1 Seleccione el modo de limpieza girando el dial que se encuentra en la base, al modo "Limpieza rápida" o "Limpieza profunda". 5 55 Apriete el gatillo para aplicar agua y solución de limpieza. Lentamente, empuje la lavadora hacia delante y luego hacia atrás, mientras aprieta el gatillo. 2 6 Asegúrese de que el selector de Lavado/ Enjuague del Depósito de Agua Limpia esté en "Lavado". Herramientas y accesorios: Cómo quitar la manguera: 1 Desconectar el Tubo de la Solución para la Manguera y el Puerto de la Solución para la Manguera, tirando hacia arriba con firmeza. No tire del tubo, esto puede causar daños. La tapa del puerto se cerrará automáticamente. 2 Gire el extremo de la manguera en sentido antihorario, desde la posición de bloqueo a la posición de desbloqueo, y quítela tirando.
Herramientas y accesorios: Herramientas para después del uso: 1 Drene la manguera quitando el depósito de la solución y encendiendo la limpiadora. Apunte la manguera hacia un ángulo descendente y apriete el gatillo para retirar el exceso de agua. ! PRECAUCIÓN 2 APAGUE la limpiadora. Desconecte la manguera y el tubo de la solución, de la limpiadora. 3 Drene el tubo de la solución colocando el extremo redondo en el fregadero y colocando la herramienta en el fregadero.
Herramientas y accesorios: Limpieza de escaleras alfombradas: 1. Lea las instrucciones “Antes de comenzar la limpieza” de la página 52. 2. Conecte la manguera y el tubo de la solución según las instrucciones (página 56). 3. Coloque el mango en posición vertical. Los cepillos SpinScrub® no girarán mientras el mango esté en posición vertical. 4. Llene el Depósito de Agua Limpia según las instrucciones. 5. Llene el Depósito de la Solución con una solución HOOVER, de acuerdo a las instrucciones. 6.
Mantenimiento: BOQUILLA: Cómo limpiar 1. Para evitar posibles goteos, extraiga y vacíe el Depósito de Agua Limpia y el Depósito de Agua Sucia. 2. Con el mango en posición vertical, incline la limpiadora de manera que el mango descanse sobre el piso. 3. Gire la traba de la boquilla a la posición de desbloqueo (Fig. E). 4. Tire ligeramente hacia arriba de la boquilla para destrabarla del pie de la limpiadora de alfombras. 5. Empuje la boquilla hacia adelante para retirarla de la limpiadora.
