Push the latches to remove the bottom filter grill (S).
Tap filter against bin until fine dust is removed.
Rinse filter under lukewarm water and agitate inner pleats, ensuring both sides are cleaned.
Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully dry.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE CLEANER WHEN FILTER NOT COMPLETELY DRY.
After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filter in its original position. Return the Dust
Manager Cyclonic Cassette to its original position.
Reverter System - how to change from Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette to PureHepa bag mode
Depending on your preference and environment, you may wish to use this cleaner with the Hoover exclusive
PureHepa bag instead of the Dust Manager Cyclonic C4assette.
Switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply.
Open cover, grip Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette handle and pull upward to remove it (M).
Fold and fit the PureHepa bag into the bag holder which is provided with the cleaner (W). Insert the bag collar
into the location grooves ensuring that the bag collar is fully located (X)
Place the bag holder in the correct locations and close the cover (Y).
When full, please dispose of the bag immediately.
Open cover, grip the bag holder and pull upward to remove.
Pull the tongue to remove and seal the bag. Dispose the full bag into the bin.
Only use Hoover genuine PureHepa bags
Maintaining pre-motor and exhaust filter
To maintain best performance we recommend that you wash the filters in the cleaner at least every month.
To access the filters please refer to diagram (C1, 2).
Rinse both filters under hand warm water (T, and U).
Do not scrub the filters, use washing up liquid or place in a dishwasher.
Remove excess water with a dry cloth and leave to air dry for 24 hours or until fully dry (V).
After completing the washing and drying operations, locate the filters in their original positions in the cleaner.
Removing a blockage from the system
If there is a noticeable drop in the performance see the following 2 points:
1) Check if the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette is full (If so refer to chapter “Emptying the Dust Manager Cyclonic
Cassette”.
2) If not full then:
a) Have you cleaned the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filters recently? If not please refer to the chapter
“Maintaining the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette filter”.
b) Check if there is any other blockage in the system.
Use a rod or pole to remove any blockage from the tubes and flexible hose.
It may also be possible to remove an obstruction in the flexible hose by lightly squeezing or bending it.
Check and clean if required the underside of the nozzle by using the crevice tool.
Before calling Hoover Check list
1) Is there a working electricity supply to the cleaner? Check with another appliance.
2) Is there a restriction?
a) Is the Cyclonic Cassette full? Please refer to the chapter “Emptying The Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette”.
b) Are the filters or Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette blocked? Please refer to chapter “Maintaining the Dust
Manager Cyclonic Cassette filter”.
c) Is the hose or nozzle blocked? Please refer to chapter “Removing a blockage from the system”.
3) Has the cleaner automatically switched off? In this case the Thermo Protection System has been activated.
Please refer to chapter “Using your cleaner”, paragraph “Thermo Protection System”.
Please remember that:
1) Some carpets can cause a small build up of static electricity. Any static discharge is not hazardous to health or
the product.
2) A service charge will be made if the cleaner is examined and found in working order, has not been assembled in
accordance with these instructions, or has been misused.

Call Hoover Customer Help Line 08705 400 600 in the event of dissatisfaction.
Ensure that all service and repairs are carried out by an authorised Hoover Service Engineer.
Only use genuine Hoover parts.
Empty the Dust Manager Cyclonic Cassette regularly. Best after each use.
Always switch off and remove the power plug from the electricity supply after use and before cleaning the
appliance or attempting user maintenance as described in these instructions.
Remember: Electricity can be dangerous.
