All treadmills make a certain type of thumping noise due to the belt riding over the rollers, especially new treadmills. This noise will diminish over time, although may not totally go away.
WARNING DO NOT stand on running belt while BEFORE YOU BEGIN calibrating – stand on the guide rails. Treadmill will fluctuate between low and high speeds for several minutes until calibration is complete. TROUBLESHOOTING - HEART RATE Check your exercise environment for sources of interference such as fluorescent lights, computers, underground fencing, home security systems or appliances containing large motors. These items may cause erratic heart rate readouts.
