Use and Care Manual

Introduction
The HotLogic Mini is designed to heat your meal using conduction heating. This method requires 60 - 90
minutes to achieve proper serving temperatures but, conduction heating allows the HotLogic Mini to
thoroughly and evenly heat your meal without cold or hot spots and maintain your meal’s moisture. When
your meal has finished its heating cycle the HotLogic Mini will hold it at a pathogenic safe serving
temperature for several hours so that your meal is ready to serve when you are ready to eat. This means you
can put your meal into the HotLogic Mini in the morning and it will be ready for your lunch break at noon,
or 12:30 or 1:00 or... whenever. Simple convenience.
The HotLogic Mini works best with fresh meals made from scratch, frozen or refrigerated meals, and cold
leftovers in sealed containers. But, it’s your HotLogic Mini so you can use it for any meal you like. Just follow
the usage guidelines in this manual and remember: ALWAYS check your meal to ensure it has reached a
safe serving temperature before consuming. Visit www.befoodsafe.org for details about safe food serving
temperatures and more.
To ensure the best possible results when using the HotLogic Mini it is important to note that the food must
be in a rigid container having a sealed lid and a flat bottom. Heat can not flow into the meal if the
container has a large rib around the bottom that would prevent it from making contact with the HotLogic
Mini’s heater surface. In addition, aluminum foil, plastic cling wrap, and paper towels are not good
substitutes for a lid designed to seal the container. Although most foods will work great with the HotLogic
Mini, failure to use a flat bottom, sealed container may lead to disappointing results.
