Safety Warnings AUS Maintenance Warnings Gas And Electrical Safety DO NOT MODIFY THIS APPLIANCE. If you are using small domestic appliances near the hob, ensure that their power supply cables do not come into contact with the hot parts of the surface. Keep the appliance clean, as a build up of grease or fat from cooking can cause a fire. There are no user serviceable parts within this appliance. For any service, contact the place of purchase or the nominated service agent.

AUS Electrical Connection The electrical supply for the cooktop must be 240 Volt 50 Hz. The fuse and electrical wiring of the home/ premises must support the load of the appliance. The appliance must be earthed. (New Zealand statutory warning): The cooker must be connected to the electricity supply by a cable fitted with an appropriately rated plug that is compatible with the socket-outlet fitted to the final subcircuit in the fixed wiring that is intended to supply this cooker.
Duplicate Data Plate Where the data plate is obscured by cabinetry when the cooker is in the installed position, place a duplicate data plate on a surface of the cabinetry adjacent to the cooker. The manufacturer declines any liability should these instructions and safety directions not be observed. Having obtained the low flame setting required and with the burner lit, abruptly change the position of the knob several times from minimum to maximum and vice versa and check that the flame does not go out.
AUS Low flame setting Check the low flame setting for each hob burner to ensure that the minimum flame will not be extinguished by air draughts. Light the burner. Turn the control until it engages in the minimum position. Ensure the flame is stable and will not be extinguished by air draughts. To adjust the minimum flame: Follow the procedure described in the gas conversion instruction. DO NOT MODIFY THIS APPLIANCE IN ANY WAY, OTHER THAN AS DESCRIBED ON THIS PAGE.

Using The Cooktop AUS Controlling the burners Each control knob is marked to indicate which burner it controls. Each control knob also has markings to indicate the three main settings: OFF - High + Low Lighting the burners Each burner is fitted with a spark ignitor for lighting the gas. For added safety, each burner is equipped with a safety probe that prevents the gas from flowing unless there is a flame. To ignite a burner, press and turn the control knob anti-clockwise until the knob points to High.
Small pots can be used on the inner ring of the double crown double ring burner. AUS Reduction grids Some models are equipped with a reduction grid to allow you to use cookware of diameter less than 12cm. This should be used only on the auxiliary burner.
Using The Ovens AUS Practical Cooking Tips A temperature value can be set for all cooking modes between 60°C and Max, except for the following: GRILL: recommended: set only to Max power level. GRATIN: recommended: do not exceed 200°C. Do not place racks in positions 1 or 5 during fan assisted cooking. Excessive direct heat can burn temperature sensitive foods. Cooking On Multiple Levels Use positions 2 and 4, placing the food that requires more heat in position 2.
The Cooking Modes in your Cooker (1st OVEN) Your new cooker is equipped with a number of different cooking modes: Fan Oven - the fan oven operates by constantly blowing heated air, from an element wrapped around the fan, into the oven. This gives improved efficiency and in general, enables the use of lower temperatures for cooking. It also means that there is less need to be particular about shelf positions and that you can bake at more than one level simultaneously (Batch Baking).
The Cooking Modes in your Cooker (2nd OVEN) AUS NOTE: A temperature value can be set for all cooking modes between 50°C and Max, except for the following modes. MAXI-GRILL / MINI-GRILL (recommended: set only to MAX power level) Starting the oven 1. Select the desired cooking mode by turning the SELECTOR knob. 2. Electronic Clock & Automatic Cooking Feature AUS AUTO COOKIN TIMER There are two Auto Cooking programmes for the 1st oven, that can be selected using the display: (a) To set the 1st oven to switch ON immediately and OFF automatically after a time of your choice. (b) To set the 1st oven to switch ON and OFF automatically, at the times of your choice.

Care and maintenance DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES, ALLOW COOKTOP AND ALL OVEN SURFACES TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING. Cleaning The Cooktop Always wipe spills up when they occur. Do not leave spills to dry onto the surface of the hob. It is usually enough to wash the hob with a damp sponge and dry it with absorbent kitchen roll. NOTE: Do not put hot components in cold water. The sudden temperature shock could cause the component to crack.
Care and maintenance AUS Warning: Oven must not be operated with inner door glass removed. Take care during cleaning not to damage or distort the door seals. Do not lift the door seal from the oven chassis, if necessary remove the seal by carefully unhooking the corner clips. Oven Shelves and drip pan The accessories such as oven trays and racks can be washed like any other cooking utensil. They are dishwasher safe. Remove the rod shelves and grill pan.
Cooking Results Not Satisfactory Problem Check Fat splattering Ensure that the grill is not set to too high a temperature. Oven Baking Uneven rising of cake Ensure that the oven shelves are level by using a spirit level on the rod shelf and adjusting, using suitable packing e.g. wood, under the feet of the appliance. This should be checked both left to right and front to back. Ensure that the food is positioned centrally in the oven. Sinking of cakes The following may cause cakes to sink: 1.
