Installing the Toner Cartridge
The toner cartridge is empty and must be replaced when the
toner low message cannot be cleared, as described in “Clearing
the 16 TONER LOW Message” later in this section.
To replace the toner cartridge:
1 Open the printer’s top cover and remove the empty toner
cartridge.
Note
Inside the new HP toner box is a document which
explains HP’s toner cartridge recycling policy.
Follow the instructions to package the empty
toner cartridge and return it for recycling.
2 Remove the new toner cartridge from its box and remove the
storage bag.
