3. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 24).
4. Remove the drive cage (Drive cage on page 39).
Remove the battery:
1. To release the battery from its holder, squeeze the metal clamp that extends above one edge of the
battery (1). When the battery pops up, lift it out (2).
2. Slide the replacement battery into position, positive side up. The battery holder automatically secures
the battery in the proper position.
USB board
To remove the USB board, use these procedures.
Before removing the option board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 21).
2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 21).
3. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 24).
4. Remove the drive cage (Drive cage on page 39).
Remove the USB board:
1. Remove the Phillips screw
(1) that secures the board to the system board.
