Changing roles for administrators
Follow these steps to change an administrator role.
1. Select the Administrators tab, and select the gear icon in front of an existing administrator. Select Edit.
2. When the Edit Admin User window opens, go to the Role section, and choose the role within the drop-
down menu.
3. Select Submit.
Two-step
verication
Two-step verication provides an additional layer of security to HP Engage Console dashboard login. Only
owner and co-owner accounts can enable two-step verication.
HP Engage Console supports two types of two-step verication:
Email-based two-step verication—Sends a one-time password to the administrator’s email address
that you must enter to complete the login.
Google Authenticator two-step verication—Uses the Google Authenticator app to create a code that
must be entered to complete the login.
When either type of two-step verication is enabled, all accounts assigned as owner, co-owner, or
administrator must follow the specied two-step verication method in order to log in.
Enabling two-step
verication with email
Follow these steps to enable two-step verication with email.
1. Sign in to HP Engage Console.
2. Navigate to Admins and Roles.
3. Select Sign In Settings tab.
4. Select Enable 2-Step Verication. The email option is selected by default.
5. Select SAVE. The Conrm password to continue window opens.
6. Enter your password and select SUBMIT. The Two-step Verication Enabled section opens, and a
notication window opens after enabling two-step verication successfully.
NOTE: Enabling two-step verication will not sign you or others out of a session, but it will enable at
the next login attempt.
Enabling two-step
verication with Google Authenticator
Follow these steps to enable two-step verication with Google Authenticator.
1. Sign in to HP Engage Console.
2. Select Admins and Roles, and select Sign In Settings tab.
3. Select the Enable 2-Step Verication button and select Google Authenticator.
4. Select SAVE. The Conrm password to continue window opens.
