Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 33).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 33).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 34).
4. Remove the battery (Battery on page 36).
Remove the RTC battery:
NOTE: The RTC battery connector is located on the bottom of the card reader board.
1. Remove the screws from the card reader board, and then position the board upside down so that you
can access the connectors underneath (see Card reader board on page 56).
2. Disconnect the RTC battery from the card reader board (1).
3. Lift the battery to disengage it from the adhesive that secures it to the computer (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery.
