Configuring gratuitous ARP
1. From the navigation tree, select Network > ARP Management.
2. Click the Gratuitous ARP tab.

3. Configure gratuitous ARP as described in Table 81.
4. Click Apply.

Gratuitous ARP packet learning is enabled by default.
Send gratuitous ARP packets when
receiving ARP requests from another
network segment
Enable the device to send gratuitous ARP packets upon receiving ARP
requests from another network segment.
By default, the device does not send gratuitous ARP packets upon
receiving ARP requests from another network segment.
Static ARP configuration example
Network Requirements
As shown in Figure 221, hosts are connected to Switch A, and Switch A is connected to Router B through
GigabitEthernet 1/0/1 in VLAN 100.
To ensure secure communications between Switch A and Router B, configure a static ARP entry on Switch
A for Router B.
