Component Description
(1) WWAN antennas (2)* (select products only) Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless wide
area networks (WWANs).
(2) Internal microphones (2) Record sound.
(3) Infrared camera lights (2) On: The infrared camera is in use.
(4) Webcam Records video and captures photographs. Some models allow you to
video conference and chat online using streaming video.
To use the webcam:
▲ Type camera in the taskbar search box, and then select
Camera.
(5) Infrared camera Allows a facial recognition logon to Windows, instead of a password
logon. For more information, see Using Windows Hello (select
products only) on page 47.
(6) Webcam light On: The webcam is in use.
(7) WLAN antennas (2)* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless local
area networks (WLANs).
*The antennas are not visible from the outside of the computer. For optimal transmission, keep the areas immediately around the
antennas free from obstructions.
