7. Remove the six Phillips M2.5×5.2 screws that secure the display assembly to the keyboard/top cover.
8. Swing the front edge of the keyboard/top cover (1) up and away from the display assembly.
(The keyboard/top cover disengages from the display assembly hinges.)
9. Separate the keyboard/top cover (2) from the display assembly.
10. If it is necessary to replace the display panel assembly or any of the internal display components, follow
these steps:
CAUTION: The display panel is extremely fragile. Using excessive force can damage the panel.
Use caution when removing the display panel.
a. Use a case utility tool or similar thin plastic tool to partially separate the top corner edges of
the display panel assembly from the display back cover.
