Printer hardware issues
Close printer door
● Make sure the printhead access door and the front door are properly closed.
The printer shuts down unexpectedly
● Check the power and power connections.
● Make sure the printer's power cord is connected rmly to a functioning power outlet.
NOTE: When Auto-O is enabled, the printer will automatically turn o after 2 hours of inactivity to help reduce
energy use. For more information, see Auto-O on page 21.
Resolve printer failure
● Turn the printer o, then on. If that does not resolve the problem, contact HP.
