When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the

defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

Memory modules

Processor

To remove the system board:

1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 32).

2. Remove the access panel (

Access panel on page 33).

3. Remove the front bezel (

Front bezel on page 34).

4. Disconnect all cables from the system board.

5. Remove the six screws (1) that secure the system board to the chassis.

6. Slide the system board toward the front of the chassis (2), and then lift it up and out of the chassis

(3).

To install the system board, reverse the removal procedure.
