Drive power
Thedrivevoltagebackplane sensors (+5.1 VDC and +12.1 VD C ) can detect a drive overcurrent condition.
When a d rive overcurrent condition exists, the sensor disconnects the voltage from the drive to prevent
writing data to the drive. The drive is disabled until one of the following conditions occurs:
• Thedriveisreplaced,ifdefective.
• The overcurrent condition no longer exists.
Drive blank
T o maintain the proper enclosure air flow , a drive or a drive blank must be installed in each drive bay.
Thedriveblanks(seeFigure 29) m a intain proper airflow within the disk enclosure.
