Hardware
The hardware folders provide a view into the operation of various physical
components of the storage system:
■ Rack—a floor-standing structure primarily designed for, and capable of,
holding and supporting storage system equipment.
■ Controller—a hardware and firmware device that manages communications
between host systems and other devices.
■ Enclosures
— Drive enclosure—contains up to 14 physical disk drives and their
supporting structures.
— Controller enclosure—holds one or more controllers, power supplies,
blowers, cache batteries, transceivers, and connectors.
■ Physical Disk Drive—a disk drive that plugs into a drive enclosure bay and
communicates with the controllers through device-side Fibre Channel loops.
Note: The FC loop switches are not displayed by Command View EVA.
