Hardware
The hardware folders provide a view into the operation of various physical
components of the storage system:
Rack—a floor-standing structure primarily designed for, and capable of,
holding and supporting storage system equipment.
Controller—a hardware and firmware device that manages communications
between host systems and other devices.
Enclosures
Drive enclosure—contains up to 14 physical disk drives and their
supporting structures.
Controller enclosure—holds one or more controllers, power supplies,
blowers, cache batteries, transceivers, and connectors.
Physical Disk Drive—a disk drive that plugs into a drive enclosure bay and
communicates with the controllers through device-side Fibre Channel loops.
Note: The FC loop switches are not displayed by Command View EVA.
