Using Remote Copy 3.1.1 on systems running 2.3.1
Remote Copy and Virtual Domains
Remote Copy checks for the presence of HP 3PAR Virtual Domains Software (domains) on the
backup system to verify that you have mirrored the virtual volume to the same backup system
domain name as the primary system domain name.
For Remote Copy to operate, you must name the domain correctly.
NOTE: To use HP 3PAR Virtual Domains Software, you must have an HP 3PAR Virtual Domains

Remote Copy Functionality Unavailable on 2.3.1 Systems
If you install HP 3PAR Remote Copy 3.1.1 Software on a Storage System running the 2.3.1 version
of the HP 3PAR InForm Operating System Software, the following Remote Copy 3.1.1 functionality
is not available:
These commands do not function:

histrcvv. For more information, see “Viewing Remote Copy System Information”
(page 86).
statrcvv. For more information, see “Viewing Remote Copy System Information”
(page 86).
Read/write (RW) snapshots cannot be added to Remote Copy volume groups. For more
information, see “Rules for Forming Volume Groups” (page 191).
