<pattern> - Pattern of volume group names (for example, Group*)
3. Start the primary volume group.
# startrcopygroup <group_name>
or:
# startrcopygroup -pat <pattern>
<pattern> - Pattern of volume group names to start (for example, Group*)
4. If the volume group’s new mode is asynchronous periodic, set a synchronization period.
# setrcopygroup period <value>{s|m|h|d} <target_name> <group_name>
<value> - Resynchronization period (time span between start of resynchronizations) and
time unit (seconds, minutes, hours, or days)
<target_name> - Name of the backup system for the volume group you are changing
<group_name> - Name of the primary volume group
or:
# setrcopygroup period <value>{s|m|h|d} <target_name> -pat <pattern>
<pattern> - Pattern of volume group names (for example, Group*)
CAUTION: You must specify a synchronization period. Remote Copy does not have a default
synchronization period, so if you do not set a synchronization period, Remote Copy volume
groups will not be automatically resynchronized.
Manually Resynchronizing Volume Groups
To manually resynchronize primary and secondary volume groups, enter either:
# syncrcopy <group_name>
<group_name> - Name of the primary volume group
or:
# syncrcopy -pat <pattern>
