Failover and Failback Behavior of Individual Remote-Copy Groups in SLD
Configuration
Individual remote-copy groups can be failed over without forcing a full array failover.
Failover of individual remote-copy groups is illustrated in the following sections.
Normal SLD Operation
During normal SLD operation, there is a synchronous link between SystemA and SystemB, an
asynchronous periodic link between SystemA and SystemC, and a backup asynchronous periodic
link between SystemB and SystemC, as shown in Figure 22 (page 71).

When an individual remote-copy group on SystemA fails, other remote-copy volume groups continue
to be synchronized normally, as shown in Figure 23 (page 72).
