Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 38).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40).
Remove the TouchPad:
1. Disconnect the card reader cable from the ZIF connector on the TouchPad (1).
2. Disconnect the TouchPad button board cable from the ZIF connector on the TouchPad (2).
3. Disconnect the NFC module cable from the ZIF connector on the NFC module (3).
4. Remove the four Phillips M2.0x2.0 screws (4) that secure the TouchPad to the computer.
5. Remove the TouchPad from the computer (5).
Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad.
