IMPORTANT: Regardless of the power-on state, voltage is always present on the system board as long
as the system is plugged into an active AC outlet. You must disconnect the power cord to avoid damage
to the internal components of the computer.
Removing the computer access panel
To access internal components, you must remove the access panel:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 6).
2. Slide the access panel lock (1) to the left, slide the panel toward the rear of the computer (2), and then
lift it o the chassis (3).
