4. Align the mounting screws with the slots on the drive cage. Lower the drive into the drive cage, and then
slide it back to secure it in place.
5. Connect the power cable and data cable to the rear of the hard drive.
6. If installing a new drive, connect the opposite end of the data cable to the appropriate system board
connector.
NOTE: If the 3.5-inch hard drive is the primary drive, connect the other end of the data cable to the
dark-blue SATA connector on the system board labeled SATA0. If it is a secondary drive, connect the
other end of the data cable to one of the light-blue SATA connectors on the system board.
7. Reassemble the computer.
Removing and installing an M.2 SSD storage card
NOTE: There are two M.2 SSD sockets on the system board. The computer supports 2230 and 2280 M.2 SSD
cards.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 17).
2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 18).
3. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 19).
4. Remove the drive cage (Drive cage on page 22).
