YoucaninvokeSettingsforSensorDefaultsintwoways:
• SelectSettingsfromtheToolsmenu.
• Right‐clicktheSensorintheSensortreeintheDeviceLibrarywindowandselectProperties.
TheDefaultAPPropertiesdialogboxappears.

DefinesettingsforthefollowingSensorproperties:
• SensorPrefix:SpecifythetexttoprefixtoaSensorwhenSensorsarenumbered.
• Model:SelectaSensormodelfromthedrop‐downlistofcommerciallyavailableSensormodels.Plannerenables,
disables,orchangestheotherpropertiesinthisdialogboxbased
ontheselectedSensormodel.
• SelectRadio:Selecttheradiofromthedrop‐downlist.
• RadioProperties
¾ Antenna:Selectanantennafromthedrop‐downlist.
Click<More>toviewadditionaldetailsoftheantenna.TheSelectAntennadialogboxappearswhichhelps
youadd
orselecttheantennainabettermanner,fromthelistofavailableantennae.Itisagoodpracticeto
keepSensorantennaetobedipoleoromni‐directional,whichenablestheSensortodetectandprevent
attacksfromanydirection.
¾ Orientation:Selectadirectionfromwheretheantennawould
receiveitspower.
Thepreviewreflectstheantennaradiationbasedontheantennaselected.
¾ ActiveProtocol:Selectanactiveprotocolfromthedrop‐downlist.Eachradiocanoperateonanyoneofthe
protocols.
