To run the TSC diagnostics, follow Procedure 4-4.
Procedure 4-4. Running the TSC Diagnostics
1. Log out and stop any user processes.
2. Shut down to the MD prompt by typing the following at the “login:” prompt:
login: shut
3. At the MD prompt “ > “, type the following:
> re < RETURN >
4. After the beeper sounds, press < RETURN > and type the following:
> ex tsc < RETURN >

4.4 The sysboot Program
The sysboot program is a standalone program that boots programs from disk, including
the operating system and the diagnostics described in this chapter.
NOTICE:
Diskless nodes execute a slightly different boot program,
called netboot, that boots the operating system across the net-
work. Use ctboot to boot from a cartridge tape drive.
The sysboot program uses the screen to display errors. These errors can occur when
the MD encounters problems while trying to locate or read the /sau12 directory on the
system’s Winchester disk, or on another boot device specified as the load device.
If you encounter sysboot errors, follow the troubleshooting procedure shown previ
