II. Upgrading the Boot Rom program

Step 1: Enter the Boot Menu, and then select <7> to enter the

Boot Rom operation sub-menu.

Step 2: Enter <1> in the Boot Rom operation sub-menu to

upgrade the Boot Rom program using XModem. Several speed

options are available for you. The subsequent steps are the same as

those described in “

I. Upgrading an application program” of this

section.

Caution:

You cannot restore the Boot Rom program on site if you fail to upgrade

the entire Boot Rom program. Therefore, you must not upgrade the

entire Boot Rom program unless necessary and with help of

engineers.

III. Upgrading the extended segment of the Boot ROM

program

Step 1: Enter the Boot Menu, and then select <7> to enter the

Boot Rom operation sub-menu.
